NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) volunteers are ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round, attending a range of incidents from bush and grass fires to house and structure fires, road accidents and assisting at other events like floods, storms and searches. There are eight brigades in the Hay Shire.
